The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting
Thursday 2nd June
Rendel Park 9.00pm
The Platinum Jubilee Beacon is the first community event of the four-day Jubilee weekend. Beacons shall be lit across the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories. Out ceremony will open with the Torpoint Sea Cadet Band (TS Ramehead), with the youth Unformed Services in attendance.

Torpoint’s Platinum Jubilee Festival
Friday 3rd June
Thanckes Park – 12.00 noon
A free fun packed fun day for all the family. The park will be open from 12.00, the first performance is 12.30pm, with the official opening at 1.00pm. The festival will finish with a firework display at approximately 10.50pm. There will be children’s entertainment, a free bouncy castle and you will be able to purchase from food stalls, crafts, a licensed bar and lots more.

The Jubilee Big Lunch
Sunday 5th June
Council Chambers, York Road
Our Town Mayor and Town Council will be hosting a Jubilee Big Lunch for 70 residents’, over the age of 70. If you are over 70 and reside in Torpoint, you can apply for a ticket by contacting Torpoint Town Council on 814165.

Sir Barnaby Beacon
Are you ready to take part in an augmented reality trail, celebrating our The Queen's Platinum Jubilee?
Starting at Bénodet Park you will discover seven QR codes around our town. Each code has a digital stamp to collect and is looked after by different virtual characters all the way from Buckingham Palace!
Players will be guided by Sir Barnaby Beacon and will get to learn about each decade of her majesty's 70 years on the throne.
