A Book of Condolences is available at Torpoint Library and Community Hub for anyone who would like to leave a message, following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.15am to 4.30pm. The building will also open on Saturday from 9.15am - 12.00noon and on Sunday from 12.00noon to 2.30pm. Alternatively, you can visit to send your message. If unable to visit Torpoint Library and Community Hub during these times, please post messages to the Council offices 1 - 3, Buller Road. The Book of Condolences will close the day following of the funeral at 4.30pm.

The Expert Patient Programme is a free six-week self-management course for anyone living in Cornwall who has a long-term health condition. It is run online by Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and people can self-refer to the course. New sessions will be starting in September. The poster has more information.

In support of the war in Ukraine, Torpoint Town Council has been seeking advice regarding how the community can support humanitarian help. The latest information is that getting anything into Ukraine, without being part of an organised charity is not an option. The best type of support is financial donations via a registered charity already on the ground in the war zone. Consultation on proposed extension of 30mph speed limit on A374
Proposed extension of 30mph speed limit on A374 Antony Road and new traffic calming measures prior to Torpoint Community College. Traffic calming measures include the provision of dragons teeth road markings and triangular school warning road marking and a new school warning sign. These proposals are to encourage lower speeds past the school and local YMCA sports centre and improve road safety entering Torpoint.
